Create your address labels online

If you have a company, one way to impress your customers and potential customers is to use envelopes with eye catching address labels. Even if you don't have a company, you can still use the labels while posting event announcements and invitations.

The returnaddresslabelsonline.com site has a good collection of high-quality return address labels in a range of styles. The different styles range from modern looking bold designs to traditional ones. You can browse label designs by:
1. Industry and Profession,
2. Styles and Themes, and
3. Occasion

In case you are wondering about the price, it's a great bargain at 150 labels for only $4.95.

They also has a good collection of Mailing labels and Business envelopes.

The Matrix religion

There are some really weird sites out there on the web. While surfing around, I somehow got to the Matixism site.

I learned that there is such a thing as a Matrixsim religion: "The path of the one". This religion is based on the Matrix movie trilogy.

According to the site's FAQ, the new religion has already sixteen hundred adherents (i suspect most of them are teenagers who have signed up just for the fun of it. However, I won't be surprised if some actually take it seriously.

So do you want the RED or the BLUE pill?

Flash widgit for sharing files

Get your own Box.net widget and share anywhere!

Don't you think that the application above is really cool.

The Box.net Widget is a great way to share files. I have only uploaded three images but this flash application allows more than that. You can stream podcasts, music, videos and and any other type of file.

Unlike other hosts, this widget allows unlimited bandwidth and I have up to 1 gigs hosting space for my files. Best of all, it's totally FREE. Signing up was really easy. All it took was just 3 steps. Initially only 3 files can be uploaded when you sign up but you can add more later.

Tried uploading a video clip but it was too big and was taking so long. Maybe later.

Conservative alternative to Wikipedia

My post " James Cameroon challenges Christianity" generated quite a bit of interest and is one of the most commented in recent times. I had to even censor (delete) some of the more controversial comments.

Anyway, this article titled "What Would Jesus Wiki?" on Wired.com caught my eye. It is about Conservapedia, a wiki-based encyclopedia similar to Wikipedia. But there is where the similarity ends.

According to Conservapedia's project leader, Andy Schlafly:
"The site is intended as a resource for the general audience, but without the defects of Wikipedia"

The "defects" according to them is that several articles on Wikipedia are "anti-Christian and anti-American."

I have been trying to enter the site without any success for the past hour or so. I wanted to see for myself why it has become the target of ridicule on the web.

Mobile social network

There are so many social networks out there that I have actually lost count. However, when you think you have seen it all, there comes along something new with a with a slightly different concept.

Ccube.com is a mobile social network where people can use any phone and any carrier to connect to people over the phone. The great thing is that there is no need for downloads and it's totally free.

Join ccube.com for FREE at www.ccube.com

I was a bit concerned about privacy issues (as you should all be) when I first heard about this service. I was quite satisfied when I learnt that the caller ID shows the ccube.com number, not your phone number. Thus, the person on the other line only knows your phone number and other personal information IF you do decide to give them that information on your own.

The platform is now live in US and Canada but they have plans to expand globally.

Check it out and tell me what you think.

Ghost Rider a box office hit

One movie I am looking forward to is Ghost Rider, starring Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes as his love interest.

Though it has opened in other cities, it will only be released in the UK on the 2nd of March.

This is another movie version of a character from the Marvel comics universe. I guess the only unique thing about this movie is that it features an supernatural anti-hero, "Johnny Blaze", Satan's Bounty Hunter.

Despite reviews ranging from lukewarm to downright put downs, the movie is doing quite well with it leading the box office for the 2nd week and grossing $40.1 million in the foreign market. Read the Reuters report here.

You might also want to check out Wikipedia, which has an in-depth article on the Ghost Rider.

Has anyone seen the movie yet?
