If you ask anyone in my age group the question - "What was the brand of the first mobile you ever had?", most often than not, they would reply "Motorola!" This includes my wife, whom I remember carried a bulky flip Motorola phone while we were doing our MBA at University.
I don't know why but they suddenly were not cool anymore and I didn't see anyone with a Motorola except for my friend Nick, who's a die hard loyal Motorola customer. The amazing thing is that even though I have changed my phones a number of times, I have never owned a Motorola phone ever. That is until I traded in my old Nokia for a brand new sleek Motorola L6, just before we moved to the UK. It took me a while to get used to the new phone but after playing with it for a few days, I know everything I need to know about the phone.
Motorola is now making a comeback in a big way, with some amazing new models that are both functional and fashionable.
Two of the hottest Motorola phones in the market right now are the Motorola KRZR K1 and the Motorola Z3.
The Krzr K1 features an extra thin clamshell form. The dimensions (H x W x D) are 42 × 103 × 16 mm. It has a 2 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom. The enhanced music player plays MP3s, AAC, AAC+ and Midi files. It also comes with a microSD card slot, 176 x 220px 260k TFT main screen and stereo Bluetooth. I remember the day when people used to go "Wow!" when you showed them your tri-band phone. Well the Krzr is quad-band (GSM 850/ 900/ 1800/ 1900 plus EDGE).
The Motorizr Z3 is a slider phone and is also quad-band with EDGE. It also has a 2 megapixel camera, QQVGA display, Bluetooth, microSD card slot. It is slightly thinner than then Krzr K1 (45.50 x 105.47 x 15.99 mm). The internal display is the same as the former but with slightly higher resolution (262K colors TFT). I think the later has lot more exciting range of colours.
It's a tough choice.

Pooped pavements
There are inconsiderate people everywhere and Coventry is no exception. I love the pedestrian friendly pavements here in the UK but as I found out, some people are taking it for granted.
While walking my daughter to school, she pointed at something and asked "Baba! What's that?"
"Dog poop", I replied.
Her next question was a bit difficult to answer: "Who put dog poop there?"
The pavements are littered with dog poop all the way to the school.
Before you accuse me of being a dog hater, let me clarify that I don't hate dogs. As a matter of fact, we used to have a lot of dogs in our house as I was growing up. My favourite was a really intelligent German Shepard, which passed away while I was away in University several miles away.
Anyway, like I was saying, I don't hate dogs but I definitely don't like their inconsiderate owners who treat the pavements as if it's their dog's toilet.
People walk on those pavements. If you want to keep a dog and like to take them for walks, (you should if you keep a dog), please remember to pick up after they have done their business. That's what they call "responsible dog ownership".
If you can't, don't keep them.
Also you might keep in mind that dog owners can now be fined for allowing their dog to foul public areas.

You can be a diva too
The term "Diva" can conjure up different images in the minds of different people. On one side, it can be that of the singing Divas, for example, Leona of X Factor fame. On the other side of the scale are images of tantrum throwing drama queens and I won't give any examples here because I am sure you have read about them in gossip magazines or seen them on the TV.
The Diva's Dreams by Belisi is a blog for independent and talented women who take pride in having the best of everything. Their definition of a Diva is that of a smart and savvy lady.
This blog is not only about fashion but also covers a range of topics including interior design, food and wine, and entertaining.
The latest post "Bling bling gone bye bye?" discusses the latest trends in shoes. This would definitely interest my wife who is looking for some nice footwear. Right now, she's going every where in her leather sneakers as it's too cold to wear most of the shoes she brought along from Malaysia.
BTW, in case you were wondering Belisi is a fast growing global fashion brand. Regular visitors might recall that I wrote a post on their Blog for Men's fashion yesterday.

No more snap
I first noticed Snap Preview Anywhere on Joi Ito's blog. At that time I thought it was really cool and promptly added it to my blog.
However, after using it for some time, I finally have to agree with Shaolin tiger and a lot of other users. After the initial "wow" factor dissipated, I found it to be distracting and some of my visitors complained that my site loaded slower after I had installed it.
Just took it off.

More traffic through SEO
Of late I have been receiving a lot of junk e-mails, especially after I wrote about my Melayu Boleh project.
one such recent mail offered to drive traffic to my blog by increasing my page rankings. So I went over to their site to have a look. They had some interesting articles and amazing claims but that was it. I checked their website page rankings and surprise, they had a pr (page rank) of 1. I think they should instead pay me to help them improve their page rankings.

Designed for Men
There are number of fashion blogs on the web. However, most of these blogs are dedicated to ladies' fashion. This is probably due to the fact that most of these blogs are run by lady bloggers.
That doesn't mean that guys are not interested in wearing nice clothes or looking fashionable. Today's successful men (not limited to metrosexual males) know that the right clothes and accessories can be a embodiment of your personality. It tells the World who you are.
It's amazing that there are very few blogs covering this particular segment of the market. Along comes, Belisi's Sharp by Design Blog, dedicated to Men's fashion. According to them, this blog is directed to the progressive urban man who wants to learn about fashion staples, as well as stay tuned in to emerging trends in casual wear and business attire.
